Founded in 1848, Omega has continued to raise the bar in watch making. One of their latest innovations for increased precision is a revolutionary design called a Co-axial Escapement, which is used instead of the lever escapement found in most mechanical watches.

Coupled with a free sprung-balance, their system both reduces sliding friction, and makes the watch far less sensitive to shock.

Both these advantages make the Omega a high-precision chronometer that will have greater accuracy over longer periods of time. In addition, the self-winding mechanical movement is COSC-certified and has a 44-hour power reserve.
