Breitling has been known for its fine watches and chronographs ever since World War I when they made watches for the military. Just before World War II they introduced a chronometer for aircraft instrument panels, and have been associated with aviation ever since.
The Navitimer is a super chronograph watch designed especially for pilots, and has been well-received by them since it was first produced over a half-century ago.
Included among its advocates is John Travolta who aside from being an accomplished actor is a seasoned pilot as well. Having earned his pilots license at 19 years old, Travolta has logged over 5000 flight hours.
He takes his flying seriously and has a goal of trying to fly some everyday. Currently certified in 8 different aircraft, including the Boeing 747 jumbo jet, he mostly flies his own Boeing 707 or GII.
He owns several aircraft which he keeps either at his residence in Ocala, Florida, or at a nearby terminal. At his home there is parking for 2 large jets and a taxiway connecting to the terminal and private runway capable of handling large planes.
The Breitling brand has become synonymous with reliable, high-performance “wrist instruments”, designed for the most demanding professionals. Its chronographs meet the highest standards and all are equipped with movements certified by the Swiss COSC.
